REVIVAL IN LEICESTER (46) - THE YOUTH

One event. Two hundred young people. One Holy Spirit. Youth Pastor Amelia tells the story of CHOSEN24, held at Chroma Church:

CHOSEN24 will be a year I remember for a very very long time! I believe this wasn’t just another event—it was a marking moment for young people to be defined by their identity as sons and daughters of God, understanding what this means for their lives to walk in the truth of Jesus, and carry His light into their schools, colleges, and communities.

CHOSEN was three days of absolute chaos and fun. The building was full of so much joy. We had almost 200 young people from across the country come and worship King Jesus. New friendships were formed, crazy games were played, dances were performed, young people were healed and they stepped into a greater level of freedom. They were trained and equipped in evangelism, prophesy, praying for the sick and so much more.

Across the festival, we saw 33 teenagers give their life to Jesus, which was so exciting. For me personally, a couple of the young people who stepped forward to say ‘yes’ to Jesus are young people we have been praying for, for a number of years. To see them take this step was truly incredible and we saw some of them get baptised the following week. We heard from parents that their young people are ‘all in for Jesus’.

Young people were pressing into worship on a deeper level, adoring Jesus. Some chose to spend their nights praying for the next day. They asked for God to move among the youth in glory and power. As they prayed through the night, they received visions of fire and purification throughout the building. Across the following days, we saw Holy Spirit move in power in the sessions, with young people radically encountering God.

Just one last story to finish: On the second day, I overheard a conversation with a 14-year-old boy with his friends, in the football cage. He was telling them he didn’t want to worship with them anymore as they just kept mucking about during the session and he was here for one thing - Jesus. He told them ‘you can stand with me if you worship, but if not, don’t, I don’t want to be distracted from Jesus’. He stuck to his word and worshipped, undistracted, eyes on Jesus. At each session, this boy was hit by Holy Spirit! Wiped out in His presence, over and over again. When one of the leaders asked him what was happening, he described that, ‘God is literally taking all the bad stuff out of my heart and swapping it for good, for His love, for His peace, for His fire’.

Teenagers are making the choice to only be fixed on Jesus, nothing else matters. I know and believe that as more and more teenagers do this, consumed by the Lord, we will see revival in this generation!
