Brian Niblock is a father in the house, a leader of leaders in the churches of Leicester. He and his wife Marje arrived in Leicester in 1983. They have seen their church grow from 30 people at that time (then called Trinity Life Church) and with help from others, to around 1,200 today (now called Onechurch).
At the beginning of this year, God spoke to Brian on three separate occasions regarding the work that God was going to do in Leicester across the churches. Here are Brian’s own words:
Today, young people are getting saved and being baptised in water in our church and across other churches in Leicester. But this is just the beginning, I believe what has happened so far is just ankle deep. The Lord wants to do far more.
As we all submit our lives wholeheartedly to God, the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the Lord will come amongst us in greater measure - as we are filled with the Holy Spirit as on the Day of Pentecost then we shall have power to fulfil God’s will in our lives, to be His holy people, to be His living witness of His presence and power. Even to the extent of seeing signs and wonders, healings and miracles - and many, many more people coming to salvation and into the kingdom of God.
God’s desire is to see His Church filled with his glory as the scriptures declare - the whole earth shall be filled with the glory of God. Therefore, as Isaiah 60:1 says, ‘Arise shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.’ Thick darkness covers the peoples of the nations in our city of Leicester. But lift up your eyes and look about you for the Lord is moving powerfully amongst the peoples. You will be astonished as you see many, many, many coming to the Lord.
Words have been given over a number of years and specifically in the last year or two for Leicester and Leicestershire for a move of God that will affect the whole of the UK. God is moving powerfully already in Leicester and the UK - the Kingdom of God and the Church are increasing. Everywhere you go you hear it or see it.
Zechariah 10:1 says, ‘Ask the Lord for rain in the Springtime, it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms and gives rain.’ Three words seemed to jump out at me and speak to me:
- ASK – A number of church leaders have been praying together weekly, asking, for
some eleven years or so now.
- SPRINGTIME - we are coming into Springtime in the UK now.
- RAIN - Holy Spirit, let it rain!
I felt God say ‘You have been praying for a long time over something. I have
heard your prayers, I will answer. Start thanking and praising, for the
answer is now.’
I felt God was speaking to me specifically - I have prayed for this for many years! But He is speaking to all of us. God says ‘It’s for you.’
Is the Lord about to fulfil the prophetic words for Leicester in the Springtime? I have started to praise the Lord and thank Him for the answer now, and to make declarations for the release of the prophetic word over Leicester, for our church and for all churches open to the Holy Spirit.
