The revival among Gen Z in the UK continues. The top political podcast News Agents recently devoted a whole episode to interviewing new Christians at the Wildfires Festival (where Chroma Worship helped lead the worship).
Emily Maitlis, once of BBC News and Newsnight fame, led the
investigation herself. She had been at a Billy Graham meeting in Sheffield in
the 1980s and although she didn’t respond, it obviously has had a profound
effect on her.
The interviewees come over well, especially some of the
newer believers. Here are a few quotes from them:
Monique: ‘Being in your early 20s, I think you’re pretty
lost. We’ve got so much at hand with technology nowadays. I began to get
curious and ask what [life] is really about.’
Camilla: ‘Once you surrender your whole life to God, He
starts to speak to you and guide you and be there in those moments. He is
everything.’
Joe: ‘The younger generation are not going after abstract
ideas, like what peace is or what hope is, but we actually want the real thing.’
With hundreds of thousands of downloads, the News Agents is
one of the most popular political podcasts in the UK.
The Quiet Revival is getting noisy.
