The first note. The first sound. The first shout of ‘hallelujah’. And He was there.
I expected maybe to be writing something about the Presence
and Promise Conference at Chroma Church at the end of the weekend. But He came in that first meeting.
On that first note.
Such a presence of God. A weight upon us. A sense of awe.
The congregation taking over from the band on a number of occasions as the Holy
Spirit did His work.
We have been in revival here for a couple of years now. So,
in a sense, I should have expected what happened. We all come with such anticipation
to every meeting there is. And He meets us. The main services. The students. The
children. The youth. There is no junior Holy Spirit.
I often see angels in our meetings. It was no different last
night. They were there as they often are. Two, standing behind each of our two lit
crosses. Giant in size, I usually see them worshipping or lifting hands over
the congregation. Last night, I saw both with a spade in hand, shovelling out heaps
of blessing onto those assembled.
Pete Grieg from 24/7 Prayer wrote on Facebook about hotspots
of revival in the country. We are surely one.
In the midst of need, in the midst of confusion in our
nation, God is revealing Himself. In the city of Leicester, with all its
multicultural glory, the glory of the Lord is shining through. He’s there. From
the first note.
