Theology tells me that the Holy Spirit is with us all of the time as Christians. But it's also clear from the Bible that there are certain moments when the Holy Spirit moves in power. We see it in the Old Testament and in the New. The most obvious moment, of course, is Pentecost.
I'm just
back from our first meeting at this year's Presence and Promise Conference and
I have absolutely no doubt that there is a special presence of the Holy Spirit
already evident. You sense Him as you walk through the door. You almost bump
into Him, His presence is so obvious.
As a
church, we have been in revival since January 2022. Since then, there have been
significant moments when the Holy Spirit has moved strongly, in terms of His
presence and in terms of salvations. And we appear again, to be at one of those
moments.
The revival
at Chroma Church is reflective of a wider move of God. We read on a regular
basis of Gen. Z seeking and finding a faith in Jesus Christ. We read of queues
to get into the Alpha Course. And most interestingly, despite a regular bias
against Christianity, we read of these things in the press.
I enjoy
bumping into the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that this will become a common
occurrence in our church, our city, the nation and beyond.
